The river Drava passing the foot of Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner, and the city of Lienz, is a perfect spot for recreational outdoor sports like SUP.
Despite man-made changes in the past, this stunning river landscape hosts amazing biological diversity and is a hot spot of rare natural habitats such as large floodplain forests, river islands, sandbanks and much more.
Outdoor enthusiasts can find recreation on the river in the form of trekking, swimming, canoeing, and Stand Up Paddle.
SUP on the flowing waters is fun for all ages. You meet at the Tristacher lake where beginners start with an introduction on the lake, and experienced SUPers immediately get into the river Drava.
You will be provided with a helmet, a wetsuit, a life jacket, neoprene shoes and of course the Stand Up Paddle Board with a paddle. After a briefing by an experienced SUP-Raft guide, you go on the Drava of Lavant towards Carinthia.
