Make the most of the immense playground offered by the Canadian Rockies with a day out discovering rock climbing in Banff!
Accessible to children aged 6 and over for a half-day, and 10 and over for a full day, this introductory rock-climbing activity in Banff, Alberta, will give you the chance to learn this sport right in the heart of nature, on natural rock faces. Under the supervision of ACMG/IFMGA (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) certified instructors, you will be introduced to the basics of rock climbing in complete safety, with the help of all the necessary equipment.
During your rock-climbing discovery session in the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, you will first learn how to use the equipment at your disposal, how to attach yourself to a rope, and then how to belay and abseil, while being made aware of the dangers and how to mitigate the risks. You will be advised on the techniques to adopt throughout your climbing session and will discover how to communicate with your climbing partners. This is a very complete initiation, whether for a half-day or a full day!
Whether you choose a private half-day lesson (ideal for families or groups of friends), or a group lesson with a group already set up for the day, your discovery of rock climbing in Banff will be personalised, with a maximum of 8 participants allowing the instructor to concentrate on each of you!
