After being picked up in Banff, you will head to Sunshine Village, a popular ski resort near Calgary. There you will take a gondola and chairlift to the higher elevations of the mountains and begin an unforgettable snowshoeing experience in Banff National Park! Whether the weather is sunny or "not so good", you will have an incredible experience with your feet in the white powder, facing the magnificent scenery of the Sunshine Meadows in winter. No trails, just snow as far as the eye can see in which you will have to progress thanks to your snowshoes and trekking poles! Non-sporty people should abstain.

The walk in the snow will last about 3 hours, then you will return to Sunshine Village by gondola, delighted with your sporting achievement and with beautiful images in your head. Practical information

12 pm - 12.35 pm: Banff pickups
1 pm: Meeting at Sunshine Village on top of stairs in front of Creekside Building
1.15 pm: Ride the Gondola and Standish chairlift at Sunshine Village
1.40 pm: Amazing deep powder snowshoeing surrounded by spectacular scenery
4 pm: Head back down on the Gondola to the base
4.15 pm: Return to Banff

Activity requirements

Joining this trip means being prepared for any kind of weather. High alpine weather can be extreme and may be completely different than in town weather.

A minimum of 2 people are required in order to confirm the trip.

Special terms

Once your reservation is confirmed, you must contact your instructor to determine your pick up location in Banff.

If you are not at your pick up location on time, the guide will leave without you and you will not be refunded.

If you are not properly prepared for winter conditions as described you will be turned back and your payment will not be refunded.
