In the heart of the Laurentians, north of Montreal, you will find the Montagne d'Argent Climbing and Hiking Park. During this initiation day, your professional instructor from La Liberté Nord Sud will introduce you to climbing and the equipment. Then, you will learn the belay techniques, the descents and the basic movements. Then, after a reminder of the communication and safety instructions, you can start climbing on a school wall under the supervision and advice of your instructor.
The cliffs and routes on the Montagne d'Argent are all less than 30 metres high, which is already very impressive for a beginner, and are graded between 3 and 5, which is perfect for starting out, learning the basics, and even progressing in climbing. Whether you have climbing experience or not, climbing at the Montagne d'Argent Climbing and Hiking Park will give you a great time in the Laurentians.

Practical information
- Welcome at the La Liberté Nord-Sud refuge (200 metres from the car park, bring all your personal belongings)
- Equipment handover
- Technical training and demonstration (approx. 30 minutes)
- Walk to the wall (less than 20 minutes, up to 100 metres ascent and less than 500 metres walk to the various walls)
- Supervised climbs and advice from the instructor for around 4 hours, including a lunch break (bring your own picnic)
- End of rock climbing and return to the refuge
- Return of equipment and end of activity
Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
