Enjoy a whitewater adventure in Quebec by discovering packrafting on the Mistassibi River, north of Saguenay and Lac Saint-Jean!
Flowing for almost 294 km between southern Jamésie and Lac Saint-Jean, the Mistassibi River is the perfect place to enjoy some of Quebec's superb whitewater activities such as packrafting. This inflatable craft, which is much more stable than a traditional kayak, allows even beginners to navigate rapids safely! The only prerequisites for taking part in a packraft descent on the Mistassibi River are knowing how to swim and being at least 8 years old, making it an experience accessible to everyone.
Less than a 2-hour drive from Saguenay, a team of qualified instructors awaits you in Saint-Stanislas to help you discover packrafting in Quebec. You will have the pleasure of taking part in a 3-hour activity divided into 2 parts: the first is dedicated to learning the basics of the discipline on Lake Eden, followed by a second practical session on the Mistassibi River. You will learn how to paddle, correct your trajectory, react in an emergency, etc., everything you need to have maximum fun on your packraft descent of the Mistassibi River!
