Located on the eastern side of the island, Caleta de Fuste is home to an ancient castle that dates back to the 13th century! Caleta de Fuste is a vacation resort that has developed around the natural cove. Thanks to its geography, Caleta de Fuste is a great place to practice water sports thanks to the security the cove offers. Thousands of people enjoy this particular little piece of paradise each year!
During your buggy excursion, you will discover another side of Caleta de Fuste: the not-so-touristic one. On your vehicle, you will be taken to the hidden valleys of the island which have outstanding landscapes that seem from another world. Then, you will drive through traditional Majorero villages famous for their cheese and natural salt mines. You’ll witness the local Fuertventurian's way of life!
Finally, the excursion will give you the chance to have a personalized cheese tasting in traditional Majorero cheese factories. Don't forget to buy some local products, you will love them and it helps to support the community!

Practical information
You will drive a buggy around Caleta de Fuste and its landscapes. You will discover typical Majorero villages, natural salt mines and cheese factories.
- Pick up at the accommodation or in front of the Hotel San Jorge.
- Walk through the rural area, old Majorera villages (Triquivijate) and the salt mines of El Carmen.
- Visit to an old cheese farm and free tasting.
- Nuevo Horizonte and El Matorral.
- Return to the coast and stop near Fuerteventura airport, where you can watch planes landing and taking off live and take pictures.
- Return to Caleta de Fuste along a road with panoramic views along the Atlantic
Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have driver's license for automobiles or motorcycles (minimum 125 cc).
You must use closed shoes. Sandals or any other type of open footwear are not allowed.
The pick up service at your accommodation must be arranged with your instructor and restricted to the Caleta de Fuste area.
