This outdoor activity is designed for those who are really looking for an adventure! Tenerife has one of the most capricious geographies in the world and thanks to its volcanic origin, the island has some of the best canyons! The Barranco de Guaria, in the Montaña de Tejina Natural Monument (Guía de Isora), is a dry canyon, this means that it does not have a water flow like most canyons where canyoning is practised.

Your adventure will start with a 10 minute 4x4 ride up the Tejina mountain. The instructor will then provide you with all the canyoning equipment: helmet, harness and ropes and you're ready to start exploring this wonderful canyon of Tejina Mountain! You will experience a 20-metre abseil, see beautiful ancient Guanche caves, lava walls over 100 metres high, unique flora, and an incredible and unique view of the sea! The excursion lasts 4 hours and covers a distance of 6 kilometres. This canyoning activity is suitable for ages 8 and up and doesn't require any previous experience or any great sporting ability, as long as you enjoy sport and adventure!

Course of events

- Meeting with the guide in Guía de Isora.

- 10 minutes drive in a 4x4 to the top of the Tejina mountain.

- Start of the 4-hour excursion and descent of the Barranco de Guaria.

- Return by 4x4 to Guía de Isora.

Activity requirements

All participants must be in good health.

Minors must have authorization from their parents or legal tutor.
