If you want to feel the thrill of heights and the adrenaline of the waves, this day of canopy tour and rafting on the Sarapiqui River is for you!
Only 10 kilometres separate the hustle and bustle of San José, the capital of Costa Rica, from the calm and unspoilt nature of the Heredia region. Coffee plantations, green volcanoes and tropical rainforests are the predominant landscape. For all these reasons, Heredia is one of the best regions in Costa Rica for outdoor activities such as hiking or zip lining. Costa Rica is known for having some of the longest zip lines in the world, specifically in the Monte Verde region.
Green Way Tours goes one step further and proposes to make you discover the most authentic and wild jungle of Costa Rica with a tour that combines a 9 zip line tour with a rafting activity on the Sarapiqui River. A day that promises to be full of fun, excitement and adventure. The excursion starts in San Jose, where your instructor will pick you up and you will start your way to Heredia through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, until you reach the Hacienda Pozo Azul. Once there, it's time to equip yourself with a harness and helmet to start the 9 zip lines of different heights. But the adrenaline doesn't end here, after this, it will be time to change the harness for the life jacket and the paddle to get on one of the inflatable rafts and descend the Sarapiquí River in this level II-III rafting activity, so you will be able to enjoy the Sarapiquí River. In addition, the guide will explain the culture of the area, its gastronomy, agriculture and the history of the Heredia region. After the rafting, it will be time to have lunch in a restaurant with breathtaking views before heading back to San José.
