Explore the natural and wild landscape of Sfakia, including secret bays only accessible by boat, as well as crystal clear water for snorkeling and resting on calm beaches.
Explore the natural and untamed terrain of the Sfakia region, including secluded bays and towns only accessible by boat, as well as crystal clear water for snorkeling and resting on calm beaches.
This full-day Domata Agios Pavlos boat excursion provides you with unparalleled views and access to some of southwest Crete's most private and inaccessible beaches. The majority of the areas you visit during the day have no road access and can only be reached by boat or foot!
We headed off from Chora Sfakion (or Loutro) towards the day's most remote beaches, Domata, Fournoti, and Kalogeros. The boat's distant perspective of Crete allows us to appreciate the island's spectacular high peaks and dramatic canyons that plunge into the deep blue sea. We enjoy an uninterrupted swim because there is a 99% probability that no one else is on the beach. We then cruise back down the coast, stopping at whichever secluded beach we like!
We stop for lunch at the marble beach of Marmara or the charming fishing village of Loutro and visit the Byzantine church of Agios Pavlos on its solitary beach.
Finally, before returning to Sfakia, we swim in the delightful Sweet Water (Glyka Nera) beach.
Our Domata Agios Pavlos full-day boat excursion is great for exploring practically the whole southwest coastline in one day!
