Located just a 15-minute drive from the centre of Split, the Perun Via Ferrata runs along the south side of Perun, it is 300 metres (984 feet) long and rises to an altitude of up to 140 metres (459 feet).On this unique excursion, you will enjoy breathtaking views, exciting vertical jumps and climbs, and, above all, a great deal of adrenaline! The via ferrata is entirely safe and made with safety steel wire rope, eyebolts, and iron steps, which are regularly maintained.
Once you have arrived at the starting point of the Perun Via Ferrata, your experienced mountain guide will provide a safety briefing and give an introduction to all of the via ferrata equipment. Then, with your helmet and harness on, the adventure begins!
You will follow a steep mountain trail, passing through olive trees and oak forests for about 30 minutes, leading to the bottom of the Perun cliff face. After another briefing, you will emerge on top of a cliff near a WWII army bunker, continuing your hike to reach the peak at 441 metres (1,447 feet) and the church of Saint Jure, which was built in the 14th century. You will celebrate the completion of the Perun Via Ferrata with a well-deserved break, taking in the awe-inspiring panorama!
