Take a ride along the stunning coastline of Helsinki where you'll get a taste of Finnish culture before going full-throttle to the Suomenlinna fortress!
Your adventure starts from the Market Square where you’ll cruise along the incredible coast, visiting famous sights in Helsinki such as the Allas Sea Pool and traditional “carpet-washing docks” in Kaivopuisto and Löyly.
From there, you’ll switch gears as you go all out towards Suomenlinna fortress, a renowned 18th-century sea fortress on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Built across six islands, this unusually-shaped fortress is known as one of Finland’s most famous attractions because of its picturesque surroundings that are accessible only by water.
Your next stop is Oil Silo 468, the award-winning light art installation that’s been built in an old silo. Sitting by the sea, the silo faces central Helsinki and its repeated light show on the inside and exterior is powered by the strong winds in the area. After this stop, you’ll check out massive Finnish icebreakers which are ships that were designed to navigate through ice-covered waters and to break channels through the ice.
Last but not least, you’ll round off your tour with a visit to Sompasauna, a wood-burning public sauna that’s completely run by volunteers and attracts an eclectic bunch of folks who wish to experience a traditional sauna by the sea.
Discover some of the most famous sights in Helsinki while going on an unforgettable RIB boat ride along the coastline!
