The ice fishing adventure in Rovaniemi begins at the starting point (pickups are available within a 15km driving distance). You will meet your experienced guide and receive your equipment. Once you are all prepared, the adventure begins! If the snow is deep enough, you will snowshoe through the scenic Arctic forest until you arrive at a frozen lake.

Upon arrival, your expert guide will assist you in drilling through thick ice and setting up the fishing equipment for your ice fishing experience in Rovaniemi. Sit back, relax and wait for a fish to take the bait. While you fish, take in the magnificent view. If you're lucky enough to catch a fish, your guide will help you prepare and grill it yourself for lunch!

After some time has passed, you will enjoy a campfire barbeque meal of Lappish bread, salmon, marshmallows and hot blueberry juice (vegetarian/vegan alternative available upon request). Gather around a snow-covered campfire to sample these Lappish specialities. While you warm up, the guide will share stories and tales about the region and Arctic life. After lunch, you will return to Rovaniemi.

On this excursion, you'll travel from Rovaniemi to a frozen lake in the Arctic forest and enjoy an ice fishing experience.

Course of events

- Pick-up from your accommodation or meet at the starting point in Rovaniemi

- Receive equipment and Arctic gear

- Snowshoe through the forest to a frozen lake (weather dependent)

- The ice fishing adventure begins!

- Enjoy hot drinks and a Lappish campfire BBQ meal

- Return to starting point and transfer back to Rovaniemi

Activity requirements

Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by adults paying the full price.

Special terms

At least 2 people are required for this tour to take place on weekdays and Saturdays.

At least 4 people are required for this tour to take place on Sundays and public holidays.

Nous avons commencer l'activité par un médiocre tour en raquette, pour ce qui est de l'activité pêche créer le trou sur le lac gelé est très marrant et intéressant mais pour ce qui est de la pêche en sois cela a été assez décevant. Pour ce qui est du repas a la fin de l'activité je met un 5/5 moment de partage super agréable!!!

L’activité consiste à marcher en raquette sur un lac gelé et ensuite procéder à l’activité de pêche. Le site est très beau, la promenade en raquette est plus de l’attrape touriste qu’une réelle activité. Nous aurions aimé faire une promenade en forêt avant pour arriver sur le site et ensuite faire l’activité.
