Discover the wild mountain, unspoilt areas, and slopes during an unforgettable ski touring weekend with a night in the Platé refuge near Flaine, Grand Massif.
Follow your mountain guide and explore the deserts of Platé and Salle facing the Mont Blanc during a ski touring weekend in the Grand Massif ski area.
You will practice in the animal reserve of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval in the French Alps, where you'll have the chance to observe chamois and the bearded vulture.
Many different routes are possible in order to adapt to the physical and technical level of each participant. However, participants must be able to ski red runs, parallels, and on ungroomed trails.
Typical itinerary: descent to Platé, ascent to the Col de Portette, descent to the chalets de Salle and ascent to the Grande Platière and finish with the descent of the kings and queens (descent to Flaine at sunset).
The Platé refuge is a summer mountain hut but your guide Theophane is the only one to have access to it in winter. The advantage is that you will be alone in the shelter and that it's very likely to be under the snow. You will access it by the roof to discover a room with inflatable mattresses that Theophane will have prepared in advance.
