Learn the impressive techniques of mountain biking with a group lesson in Grenoble. Each lesson lasts half a day and are limited to 8 people per instructor.
Come and learn the best mountain biking techniques in the Bike Park of Villard-de-Lans in Vercors, Isère, 35 minutes from Grenoble and 45 minutes from Valence.
This resort is one of the most beautiful of the area. You’ll be exposed to some of the most stunning panoramas of the plateau du Vercors and the trails are surrounded by an impressive range of fir trees.
This group lesson is a great way to learn the basics or improve your existing mountain biking skills. Groups are limited to 4 to 8 people per instructor, ensuring you are provided with as much personalised advice and tips as possible.
Beginners:
This lesson will allow you to get a better understanding of what mountain biking is and what the important basic techniques are. After the lesson, you're guaranteed to be more comfortable with enduro and cross country excursions, all the while progressively increasing your speed. During the lesson, you’ll also learn more about downhill equipment, which is not at all the same as ordinary mountain biking gear. You’ll be taught how to brake correctly and what the right positioning is.
Intermediate level mountain bikers:
This lesson will give you the chance to learn different downhill techniques, improve your braking and cross-country skills, your positioning and your style.
Thanks to the lifts, you’ll be able to dedicate more time to learning and progressing.
Advanced level mountain bikers:
This lesson is a great way of getting an outsider’s perspective on what you could perfect and the best way of doing it. Your instructor will also give you personalised advice and tips on what your next area of focus should be, enabling you to practice alone after the lesson.

Practical information
Programme:
- At the meeting point you’ll find your instructor waiting for you with all the necessary mountain biking equipment
- Once you’ve geared up, you’ll take the cable car to the bike park
- At the bike park you’ll have a quick briefing about the activity and the security regulations, after which you’ll do warm-up exercises
- Then you’re off for a 3 hour adventure around the bike park (you’ll always use the lifts to come back up)
In total, participants usually do between 3 – 5 tours of the bike park per lesson.
There are 2 excursions available:
- Morning: 9am - 12.30pm
- Afternoon: 1.30pm - 5pm
- Learn the basic necessary techniques for beginners
- Improve or perfect your techniques for people with previous mountain biking expereince
Minimum height: 140 cm
All participants must know how to ride a bike to take part in this activity.
If you would like a video of your excursion, please let your instructor know once you have booked the activity. This option costs an additional €30 that you would pay onsite directly to your instructor.
