Whitewater swimming or hydrospeed is an ideal outdoor activity if you want to get your adrenaline flowing! There is nothing better than swimming in the river using the currents and the strength of your arms with the help of a float and flippers to experience a sensational descent, no matter what your level!

H2O Sports' instructors offer different types of hydrospeed courses on the Isère, between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Aime-La-Plagne, to meet the needs of as many people as possible:

Hydrospeed discovery

The discovery run is reserved for children under 12 years of age and their parents. This is a first approach to hydrospeed, with a gentle approach to help you discover the sensations of this sport and get a breath of fresh air while having fun. This option is suitable for beginners, families and children over 10 years old (from 1m30).
After an initiation in calm waters (water level) with your instructor, you will cross class II rapids and class III passages while learning the techniques of river swimming.

Hydrospeed initiation

Take your first hydrospeed course to learn this whitewater sport with an experienced H2O instructor who will give you all the necessary advice. You will evolve on a course of the Isère river adapted to your level, at the foot of the ski resorts of the Tarentaise (Sainte Foy, etc.).
The session will start in a body of water in order to teach you or improve your swimming techniques, "eskimo roll", change of direction, etc. You will then learn the language of signs in the river and dive into the Isère for a descent of about 1h30. Passing rapids, big waves, maneuvers and surfing in the rollers will be part of the experience!

Sporty hydrospeed

Enjoy a real hydrospeed navigation course on the Isère river in order to improve your level! Your instructor will give you all the tools you need to be at ease in the river.
You will discover the Aime rapids for which the Isère is famous. For thrill seekers, surfing, big waves and rollers await you for an energetic and sporty descent!
