Set off on an unforgettable white-water adventure in the Morvan thanks to canorafting on the Chalaux River from Saint-Martin-du-Puy!
Also known as a ‘hot dog’, a canoraft is an inflatable boat for 1 or 2 passengers designed to travel down rivers in the same way as a canoe, but with more thrills. Canorafting on the Chalaux River in the Morvan Regional Nature Park is a refreshing and sensational adventure in the heart of nature, with a number of water obstacles such as the ‘400 m’ class 4 rapids and the ‘perte des vaux’!
Departing from Saint-Martin-du-Puy, your canorafting trip in the Morvan will take you along 5 km of the Chalaux River, a class 3 portion of the river between the Chaumeçon dam and Chalaux. You will be accompanied all the way by your instructor who will also be on board his own canoraft, giving you advice and helping you with any technical difficulties you may encounter. The minimum age required to take part in this adventure is 14, provided you can swim and are in good condition to make the most of your canorafting trip down the Chalaux River!
Alone or in pairs aboard a ‘hot dog’, you will enjoy an unforgettable rafting experience in the Morvan, sheltered from the summer heat thanks to the shade of the trees and the river's water temperature of between 10 and 12°C. But if you are a group of friends or a family looking for something to do together, why not opt for a rafting trip down the Chalaux River?
