Riou de La Bollène canyon near Nice

The Riou de la Bollène canyon, in La Bollène-Vésubie, is a fun and sportive canyoning descent to reach from Nice in 1h15 !

The Riou de la Bollène canyon is located in the Vésubie valley, between the Mercantour National Park and Nice. It offers a descent where all the important obstacles can be abseiled down, which makes it accessible to children from 10 years old! At the bottom of the large coniferous forest of Turini, this very aquatic canyon has many jumps and large slides that make it interesting.

You will meet your AlpAventures guide at the exit of the village of Plan-du-Var, in the Alpes Maritimes, to receive your canyoning equipment, as well as explanations on the different techniques that you will need during the canyoning course of Riou de La Bollène. After an approach walk of about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the start of the canyon at the level of the Oule bridge. You will then start a 4 hours descent: as you go down the water, several jumps can be jumped, the obstacles become higher with two slides that follow one another, then again some jumps lead to a 10 meters abseiling. After a last swim, the canyon of Riou de La Bollène stops and gives way to a calm river.
