Make a change from the usual snorkelling trips and opt for an introduction to freediving in Tahiti's lagoon to discover the flora and fauna it harbours!
Freediving is an aquatic activity that offers different sensations to snorkelling, allowing you to venture beneath the surface of the water to get closer to coral reefs, shipwrecks, etc., and admire them without carrying a tank like scuba diving. This sport focuses on relaxation through breathing exercises that will help you to dive longer and get the most out of your snorkelling in Tahiti's lagoon!
Departing from the Taina marina in Puna'auia, south of Papeete, it will take 5 to 10 minutes by boat to reach your introductory freediving site in the Tahiti lagoon. Supervised by a professional instructor, your small group of no more than 6 participants will enjoy 3 to 4 hours of introductory freediving instruction, including not only theory but also practical exercises on board the boat and in the lagoon. During the dives, you will have the pleasure of immersing yourself in water at 25°C or more, in the company of tropical fish typical of Polynesian lagoons, and why not even turtles if you are lucky!
Turning your discovery of Polynesian underwater flora and fauna into a real adventure during which you will learn more about your own abilities, this introduction to freediving in the lagoon of Tahiti will leave you with unforgettable memories!
