To begin your sea kayaking adventure, you’ll meet the certified instructors at the starting point in Paralio Astros. The guide will provide all of the kayaking equipment (kayak, paddle and life jacket), before going through a safety briefing. No previous kayaking experience is needed for this excursion. After some paddling instructions on the beach, you’ll set off gliding across the crystal-clear waters of the Argolic Gulf!

You’ll paddle to a secluded peninsula in Paralio Astros, accessible only from the sea. A large castle stands on the highest point of the peninsula, a relic of the Frankish occupation spanning the 17th and 18th centuries. You’ll paddle around the castle before arriving at the sea cave of Bouboulina. Bouboulina Cave is situated on the southeastern coast of the island of Spetses in the Peloponnese. The cave is known for its stunning natural beauty, with impressive rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites. Sunlight filtering through the entrance creates mesmerising patterns of light and shadow inside the cave.

After exploring around the cave, you’ll continue past a lighthouse and beneath the arches of a quaint seaside theatre. You’ll take a break at a sandy beach and indulge in some fresh fruit while listening to the sound of waves. If you’re lucky, you may spot playful dolphins swimming in this area! Enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear blue waters and bask in the Greek sun. Then, you’ll continue paddling back to the starting point in Paralio Astros.
