Inachos Canyon is the largest canyon located in the Peloponnese region of Greece. Artemisio is a mountain in this region located between the Argolida and Arcadia regions. Its highest peak is at the east of Nestani village with an altitude of 1,770m (5,800ft).
Just below the peak is the entrance of Inachos canyon. Located between some meadows, it makes for fantastic scenery.
Inachos is a narrow canyon surrounded by imposing and beautiful vertical cliffs. It has water almost all year round – except in summertime. It is split into 4 parts.
The first part is available for people who want to leave a beautiful experience and are new to canyoning, families and groups who want something quick.
The second part is impressive because it includes more technical and bigger rappels.
The third and fourth part is only for expert canyoners because it includes waterfalls of 25m (80ft) and 35m (115ft).
It’s available almost all year round. In summer the upper parts don’t have water.
For some periods in winter, its crossing is forbidden because of the big amount of water that the canyon maintains.
