4x4 Safari in Agiassos Hill, Lesbos

Enjoy the breathtaking views through off-road routes with this 4x4 safari in the mountains of Lesbos, Greece, drink crystal clear water from their springs, and visit one of the most traditional villages of the island: Agiassos.

Activity
While on this 4x4 safari, you will be able to admire the biodiversity and the views of the island’s off-road tracks (difficulty level 3) towards Mount Olympus (not to confuse with the tallest mountain in Greece, also Mount Olympus), where you will come across a variety of plants and birds. Finally, you will stop at the picturesque traditional village of Agiassos where you will visit the church of Panagia and grab a coffee or some mountain tea in an old-style café.

Location
Mount Olympus in Lesbos is known for its biodiversity and it is often regarded as a “Natura Area” by locals. Different kind of birds, such as blackbirds or hoopoes, different kind of plants, like orchids, peonies or mountain tea found their home in the 967m tall mountain. Pine trees, chestnuts, and ferns are also there, creating shade. At the foot of Mount Olympus, you will find Agiassos, a traditional village known for its woodsmen, colorful walls, and καφενεία (cafés, the old way).

What to expect
You will start your adventure at your arranged meeting point at 10:00. From there, you will start your safari, passing by Mount Olympus and Agiassos, where you will take a walk, get some information about wood carvings and taste the mountain tea before you return back.
