Discover the natural beauty of Lagana Bay’s underwater paradise in the stunning Keri Caves and the crystal clear waters of Turtle Island in Zakynthos. Welcoming adventurers of all ages!
This trip takes place in Southern Zakynthos, a magnificent Greek island located in the Ionian Sea. The island is characterised by a diverse landscape that includes fertile plains, mountainous regions, and beautiful sandy beaches along its coastline.
The unique boat tour begins with pick up from your accommodation (please specify when booking), or you can meet directly at the starting point in Zakynthos. You will start in a minibus, where your guide will drive you to the first stop of the tour - Kalamaki, a lovely, clean beach with soft golden sand and warm waters, with the added attraction of being a nesting site for endangered Caretta-Caretta turtles. The knowledgeable guide will share insights about this rare species.
Following this, you will drive through Laganas’ main road to Agios Sostis' small port to board a glass-bottom boat. You will visit Turtle Island, where you may spot the turtles swimming alongside the boat or passing under the clear glass. The captain will sail to the other side of the island for a one-hour stop at a small, golden, sandy beach where you will have the chance to swim or suntan.
Next, you will sail to the Keri Caves, a breathtaking structure located on the southwestern part of the island which are carved by time, tide, and wind. You will have time here to swim at the entrance to the largest cave in the crystal-clear water. Bring some snorkelling equipment with you if you want to get a look at the underwater formations.
Back on the boat, the captain will sail to Cameo Island, a dream-like destination known as the wedding island. This is one of the most beautiful sites of Zakynthos, surrounded by a secluded beach and steep white limestone. This picturesque scenery with the famous waving white sheets above the water is the perfect place for your photos.
The final stop on the tour is the Aristeon Eco-Olive Press Museum. Familiarise yourself with the authentic Greek cultural heritage by visiting the award-winning museum, which reveals the history of olive oil making on the island throughout the centuries. You will also get to taste some local olive oil and take a local sample with you back home. At the end of the tour, you will transferred back to your pick-up point.
