First scuba dive on La Désirade, Guadeloupe

Come and discover diving in La Désirade thanks to the baptism formula proposed by the diving center l'Îlot Plongée Désirade!

Have you always wanted to discover the seabed in complete tranquillity, as well as the sensations that this discipline provides? Then l'Îlot Plongée Désirade is the perfect diving center to meet your expectations!

Désirade is a preserved island located in the east of Guadeloupe, a little further away from the tourist crowd. You can get there from the island of Grande-Terre with the shuttle bus leaving from Saint-François every day at 8 am.

After visiting the diving center in the port of La Désirade, you will leave by boat for the spot at 9 am. During the 15 to 20 minutes trip to the "Ti Nord" site, you may see dolphins and whales, depending on the season. If you come across one of these mammals, your instructor will take the time to stop and admire these magnificent cetaceans!

Once you have arrived at the dive site, you will be given a briefing for a first approach to the underwater world in scuba gear. You will then be able to discover the corals, fish and turtles present on site, and possibly other marine mammals such as dolphins, which it is not impossible to encounter depending on the season. At the end of the 30 minutes or so of discovering the seabed, you will return to the boat for a debriefing on your session and a snack.

You will then return to the port of La Désirade at around noon and receive your diploma which will certify that you have completed your first dive. You will again enjoy a snack and continue to share with your instructor his extensive knowledge of Guadeloupe and diving!
