Comfortably seated aboard the Ecotour, a 12-metre motor catamaran, you'll set off to explore the nature reserve of the Guadeloupe National Park. A place extremely rich in biodiversity and fragile in the face of climate change, you'll have the pleasure of discovering the mangrove swamps and crystal-clear waters of the lagoon in the Baie du Grand Cul-de-sac marin... and that's not all, if you keep your eyes wide open, you'll discover the islets, underwater meadows and the largest coral reef in the Lesser Antilles! What's more, at the heart of this shelter, thousands of multicoloured fish will keep you company as you snorkel into the water, making for superb memories of this boat trip!
What's more, the Ecotour catamaran offers you the chance to sail sheltered by the coral reef, in a lagoon with calm waters and relatively short sailing times between two stops... you won't get seasick! Practical information
Enjoy a total of about 2 hours of navigation and enjoy a panoramic view of the lagoon, the mangrove, the islets and the Basse-Terre. The boat ride is commented, with an emphasis on environmental awareness and the functioning of the different ecosystems crossed.
You will do one or two snorkeling trips of 45 min. maximum each, under the supervision of state certified diving instructors. It is necessary to know how to swim to participate in the snorkeling trips, however, people who do not wish to take part can stay on board to enjoy a relaxing moment in a sumptuous setting.
You will leave on board a motorized catamaran with all the comforts (seats, shade, toilets) and will benefit from refreshments (fresh water, soft drinks, fruit juice) during the activity.
Half-day trip (about 4h15) in the bay of Grand Cul-de-sac marin. Crossing of the Rivière Salée and its mangrove, followed by a first stop in the lagoon of the Fajou islet for a snorkeling tour on the coral reef, then a second stop on the Caret islet to discover the underwater meadows or to relax on the beach and enjoy a swim in its turquoise waters.
It is necessary to know how to swim to take part in the snorkeling tours. However, those who do not wish to participate can remain on board the boat and enjoy a moment of relaxation in a beautiful setting.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Young children who do not participate in the snorkeling trips must remain under the supervision of a parent.
As the activity is subject to weather conditions, Seatour reserves the right to cancel an outing if necessary, up to the last minute. In such a case, you will receive a full refund.
