Guadeloupe holidaymakers looking for a relaxing family activity? How about taking part in the Ti-Canyon canyoning trip in the Lower Territory? The perfect way to introduce children to canyoning, this 4-hour trip takes you right through the Guadeloupe National Park!
On the Ti-Canyon descent, you'll discover a short canyoning course made up of obstacles, all avoidable... in the heart of the Guadeloupe rainforest, you'll defy gravity with 3 abseiling descents and 2 jumps! What's more, Ti-Canyon has natural slides that you can go around if you don't feel like going over them!
As with most canyoning activities, your descent of the Ti-Canyon in Basse-Terre will begin with an approach walk (duration: 5min) to the Bassin Bleu. From here, it's a 5-minute walk to the starting point of the Ti-canyon in Basse-Terre! Accompanied from the first minutes of your activity by Vert Intense instructors... your safety is objective number 1! After a few explanations and a demonstration of useful canyoning techniques, you'll take part in the first significant obstacle: a rope abseil. Once you've negotiated it, your fear of heights should disappear, allowing you to tackle the next abseils with greater confidence!
Please note: all the obstacles encountered during the 4-hour descent of the Ti-Canyon can be avoided!
As you progress through the Ti-Canyon, you'll get closer to the final obstacle: a jump into the Bassin Bleu and a relaxing swim to round off this descent of the Ti-Canyon, in Basse-Terre!
