Your adventure, snorkelling in South Kona, begins at the meeting point, where you and your group will be greeted by your seasoned instructor and Captain. After a safety and itinerary briefing, you'll be provided with your equipment, which includes a mask, fins, and snorkel. Now, it's time to board the boat and the fun starts! The Captain will cruise along the southern coast of Kona towards the first stop of the day, Pu’uhonua O Honaunau. En route, don't forget to keep a lookout for dolphins and whales! The roots of the Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park date back to ancient times and it is a site of great cultural significance.
Snorkelling in the sheltered bays of Kona, participants won't have to worry about strong currents, which allows for a more relaxing and family-friendly experience for all! Next, you'll head to Kealakekua Bay (known as the 'Pathway of the Gods'. With the cliffs towering above, you'll be treated to a large variety of tropical fish living in the coral reefs such as parrotfish, triggerfish, the bluefin jack, etc. Back onboard, you'll enjoy a well-deserved lunch break with a sandwich, chips, and a fresh fruit platter in the shade of the boat's canopy. You'll return to the original departure point, enamoured with Hawaii and snorkelling in Kona!
