Combine snorkelling and caving for an extraordinary day trip to Iceland, all the way from Reykjavík!

Departing from Iceland's capital and picked up from your accommodation, this snorkelling and caving combo near Reykjavík will take you to discover 2 unmissable sites in the south-west of the country: the Silfra fault in the heart of Thingvellir National Park (Þingvellir) and the Leiðarendi cave in the Reykjanesfólkvangur nature reserve. On the programme, a great day of unforgettable discoveries in the company of a local guide who will share all his knowledge of these incredible places with you!

This excursion combining snorkelling and caving in Iceland will begin with a snorkelling session in the Silfra fault, a must-do activity in waters offering visibility of up to 100 metres. You will have the pleasure of swimming in a wetsuit or drysuit on the boundary between the Eurasian and North American continental plates - a unique experience!

The rest of the day will be spent not underwater, but underground, in the Leiðarendi lava tunnels: 900 metres of underground network await you, giving you the chance to admire some amazing formations (stalactites, stalagmites, natural ice sculptures, etc.). You will have to crawl a few times to get around the tunnels!

If you are looking for a day trip to discover some surprising places in the south-west of the island, this snorkelling and caving combo from Reykjavík is the trip for you!
