The fun-filled day begins at one of the listed meeting points in Reykjavík (please see 'special terms' and specify when booking). After boarding the comfortable minibus, which is equipped with free WiFi, you'll set out on the scenic 50-minute transfer to Thingvellir National Park. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your PADI-certified snorkelling instructor who will provide you with the snorkelling equipment, which includes a dry suit, thermal underlayer, boots, gloves, a snorkel, fins, and mask. Next, the instructor will give a safety and itinerary briefing along with an introduction to snorkelling and snorkelling techniques, placing an emphasis on safety and fun!
As you snorkel in the world's most pristine waters of the Langjökull Glacier, you'll discover an amazing underwater world with distinctive rock formations, and, of course, the Silfra Fissure itself! As an added bonus, the instructor will take photos of you and the group as you touch the fissure that separates the landmasses of Eurasia and North America! After 45 minutes to an hour of snorkelling at the Silfra Fissure in Thingvellir National Park from Reykjavík, you'll be treated to hot chocolate and cookies before departing to the nearby Laxnes horse farm. Don't forget to bring snacks and a packed lunch to re-energize for the next part of the journey!
The adventure continues at the horse stables, where you'll be warmly greeted by the horseback riding instructor. After receiving a helmet and a safety and itinerary briefing, you'll be introduced to your new Icelandic horse friend and will be provided with an introduction to horseback riding and horseback riding techniques. Once you've mounted the horse, the tour, horseback riding from Reykjavík starts! You'll set out at a relaxing pace through the magnificent Mosfellsdalur Valley for 1.5 to 2 hours of riding. Working as a team with the horse, you'll savour the serenity of nature and take in the majestic snow-capped mountain peaks and rolling green hills. The minimum weight is 99 lbs (45 kg) and the maximum weight is 264 lbs (120 kg).
The minimum height is 150 cm (4'9") and the maximum height is 200 cm (6'5").

It is not possible to take part in the snorkelling excursion while wearing glasses: if you have a prescription mask, please bring it with you. If not, we advise you to wear contact lenses before joining the guide.
