Activity
This abundant, fast river will surely amaze you! From May to September the water flow is perfect for rafting in this area, as the summer melting of Mont Blanc’s glaciers provides you with lots and lots of water to benefit as much as you can from this adventure. You’ll have fun descending and admiring the ravishing landscapes surrounding you, while you take a taste of the cold, refreshing water. No prior experience is necessary, meaning that everyone is welcome to join!
Location
You’ll be situated in Aosta Valley, one of the smallest and most picturesque regions of Italy. Mont Blanc will be overlooking you, and you’ll become one with the peaceful, natural environment that paints the setting in colorful colors. You’ll pass by Morgex, a small village, you’ll descent the fierce Dora Baltea, you’ll stop at La Salle for a dive, you’ll look at waterfalls, canyons and castles and after 14 km of rafting, you’ll finish near Aosta. Sounds like fun? Yep.
Program
You’ll meet your friendly and certified guide at your starting point, where you’ll get all the necessary information about safety and equipment, as well as instructions on navigation and rafting. For the first 3km you’ll be practicing what you’ve learnt, before taking a dive in La Salle. From there, you’ll head to the Arvier canyon, and visit the most beautiful part of Dora Baltea. Finally, you’ll finish near Aosta, where the shuttle will be waiting to take you back to your starting point.
