If you've accepted the challenge, you and your group (a maximum of 30 participants) will be greeted by your seasoned instructor at the meeting point in Otta. After an initial safety and security briefing, you'll receive your equipment, which includes a wet suit, a jacket, a life jacket, water shoes, a helmet, and a paddle. Then, you'll board the scenic transfer to the departure point in the Åseng Canyon. Upon your arrival, you'll be provided with an introduction to white water rafting and paddling techniques, followed by a swimming test. This is to ensure that all participants have adequate swimming skills. Next, you'll practice paddling as a group (6 participants and 1 instructor per raft).
