Located in the Arctic Ocean, Svalbard is an archipelago that is situated about halfway between mainland Norway and the North Pole. Snowmobiling is one of the most exciting ways to discover the island's breathtaking winter landscapes!
Departing from Longyearbyen, participants can choose between a pick-up from their accommodations or meeting at the Svalbard Tourist Information Centre. Once you've met your instructor, you and your group (a maximum of 12 participants) will put on your gear including a thermal suit, boots, helmet, goggles, and mittens. Then, you will receive a safety briefing along with an introduction to snowmobiling. Please note that all drivers must be at least 18 years of age and be in possession of a valid driver's license.
Once everyone in the group feels comfortable, the adventure begins! You'll feel an adrenaline rush like no other as you drive through the snow in this incredible Arctic wilderness. Following the light, your local guide will take you to exclusive locations to enjoy the awe-inspiring, mountainous panorama of Nordenskiöldland. Don't forget your camera! Halfway through this unique snowmobile tour, you'll have the chance to switch places with your passenger (providing they are in possession of a valid driver's license). In addition, participants will also be treated to warm drinks, the perfect way to savour your Arctic exploration!

Wearing a base layer in 100% wool, a mid-layer in wool, down or fleece and thick wool socks is highly recommended. In addition, it is possible to bring a small backpack.
A physical valid driver’s license is compulsory.
The minimum required age for drivers is 18. The minimum age for passengers is 12.
Participants can purchase an optional snowmobile insurance policy for an additional 200 NOK. With this option, you will be insured in any case of accident. If you wish to share a snowmobile as a driver and passenger, you only need insurance for one person.
This guide has 6 snowmobiles available. In case you are booking as a group, please be aware that there can be only 6 drivers. Each snowmobile can fit the driver and passenger. The driver and passenger can switch through during the activity.
