Enjoy the beauty of the Arieiro peak & Santana and the "Biosphere Reserve" in a 4x4 open roof excursion from Funchal.

The 4x4 excursion will begin in Funchal and will take you uphill to Pico do Arieiro at 1818 meters, where you will experience beautiful vistas and views of Ponta do So Lourenço, Pal da Serra, Curral das Freiras, and even Porto Santo island.

Then, heading north, you will pass through Ribeiro Frio, which is bordered by Laurissilva Forest (a UNESCO World Heritage site), other unique species, and gorgeous evergreen mountains, immersing us in a serene setting.

Continue on an off-road 4x4 adventure to one of the island's most iconic villages, Santana the "Biosphere Reserve," noted for its triangle buildings, which served people for decades as housing and stables.

Following a stop for lunch (not included), you will visit a very traditional Rum Distillery in Porto da Cruz. Finally, you'll stop at the Pico do Facho viewpoint to take in the breathtaking views of Ponta de So Lourenço and Machico Bay.
