It is on the Varziela River, located in Castro Laboreiro, in the heart of Peneda Gerês National Park, that we offer you the opportunity to experience Star Canyoning . A route in a more accessible format, as this is perfect for those who want to get started in the practice, but also who want to live unique and fun moments.

It is a fun path where you can perform activities such as abseiling, natural slides and jumping into the water. It is also an easy route and recommended for families with children from the age of 6, because all obstacles are manageable. In addition to all this, you will also be accompanied by our monitors who will provide you with all the security you need.

This canyoning in Peneda Gerês National Park consists of a walk along a stretch of river, overcoming the natural obstacles that arise. Swimming in natural pools, jumping into lagoons surrounded by giant cliffs and, eventually, using ropes and other safety aids, to perform rappels and other techniques that allow us to reach the end of our route.

Practical information

Course of events

- Arrival at the Canyoning Center (Peneda-Gerês).

- All necessary canyoning equipment will be provided (wetsuit and neoprene socks, boots, helmet and harness, optional life jacket), and you can get dressed in our changing rooms.

- There will be a briefing on the rope techniques that will be used during the activity.

- Transfer from our Canyoning Center to the river. Approximately 5 minutes on foot.

- After arriving at the starting point of the activity, there will be a briefing on how to safely progress in the river.

- Descent of the canyon.

- Return to the Canyoning Center. Approximately 10 minutes on foot.

- After returning to our center, undressing and taking a shower if deemed necessary, instructions will be given on how to access the photos of the activity.

Activity requirements

Please arrive 15 minutes in advance to fill out the insurance form.
