Vertical and very aquatic, the Bras Rouge Canyon is one of the most famous canyons in the Cirque de Cilaos, along with the Fleur Jaune Canyon. It features a series of abseils up to 25 metres high, jumps (all optional) and thrilling natural slides, making it a complete canyoning experience, ideal for families or groups of friends! Moreover, the canyon is set in a magnificent setting, with its red iron flows which give it its name, the Bras Rouge Canyon.

Your descent of the Bras Rouge Canyon in the Cirque de Cilaos will be supervised by a qualified instructor who will be there to guide you and ensure your safety throughout the activity. After an approach walk lasting around 45 minutes, you will have the pleasure of spending 3 hours in the canyon, on the classic course that allows young people aged 12 and over to take part, as long as they can swim. Fully equipped with a neoprene wetsuit to keep your body warm in the water, as well as all the necessary safety equipment (helmet, harness, etc.), you will be sure to have an unforgettable canyoning experience in Reunion Island's Bras Rouge canyon!

Classic descent of the Bras Rouge Canyon in the Cirque de Cilaos.

Course of events

- Meeting with the instructor in the car park of the Piton des Neiges multimedia room in Cilaos (Anciens Thermes car park)

- Equipment set-up and briefing on how the activity will unfold

- 45-minute approach walk to the starting point for the descent of the Bras Rouge Canyon

- Briefing on the descent of the canyon and safety instructions

- Departure for 3 hours of canyoning in the Bras Rouge Canyon, including abseils up to 25 metres high, jumps (optional) and natural slides

- 5-minute walk back to the car park

- De-equipping and end of the activity

Activity requirements

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
