Located on the eastern side of Sicily, at the foot of Mount Etna, Catania stands out for incredible sceneries and colourful marine life. Along the coastline, you'll spot black rocky cliffs of volcanic origin, making Catania's landscape unique. With this discover scuba diving experience, you'll dive to 5 metres with a professional instructor and explore Catania's hidden gems!

First, your guide will meet you at the diving centre in Catania, by the sea. Then, they'll help you wear the scuba diving equipment and show you the fundamental movements. Once everyone is ready, you'll walk a couple of metres, climb down a little ladder and jump in the water! Thanks to this first dive on the eastern coast of Sicily, you'll dive to 5/6 metres in depth and experience the unparalleled feeling of breathing underwater! The volcanic origin of the seabed makes Catania a unique scuba diving destination in Sicily, allowing explorers to admire fish, corals and seaweeds. After 40 minutes in the water, your instructor will walk you back to the diving centre, where you can shower and relax before leaving.

Course of events

- Meet your guide at Jonio Pro-Dive Catania - Via Villini a Mare 2, 95126 Catania, Italy at least 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
- 20-minute briefing about the scuba equipment and the itinerary.
- 40-minute Scuba diving experience in Catania.
- Return to the meeting point.
- Debriefing.

Activity requirements

- Knowing how to swim is compulsory for this activity.
- The minimum age for this activity is 10 years old.
- This activity is not recommended for pregnant women.

Special terms

- Please arrive at the meeting point Jonio Pro-Dive Catania - Via Villini a Mare 2, 95126 Catania, Italy, at least 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
- Hiking on Mount Etna (above 600 m / 1968 ft) is not allowed less than 12 hours after diving.

Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.

Super accueil, fourniture de tout le nécessaire de plongée. Explications en français impeccable, la monitrice a été très souriante et patiente. Elle a également été très rassurante dans l'eau, ce qui nous a permis de faire ce baptême de plongée sereinement et de profiter pleinement !
