Traveling by sailboat is the perfect way to take in the natural beauty of Knysna Lagoon. When sailing through the Garden Route and its many stunning landscapes, many stop in this little estuary to seek out the marine life living within and beyond.

On this trip, we will charter beyond the lagoon, to the open ocean. Depending on the season, whales, dolphins, and seals can be seen sharing the waters with us. After a spritely sail, we will return to the calmer waters of the Knyna Estuary to enjoy our lunch, a Mediterranean feast in a more than lovely setting.

Practical information

Course of events

Park in the dock's car park and make your way through the Knysna Quays promenade. Walk across bridge and you will find our lighthouse-inspired ticket office on the right hand side. Our yacht is moored in front of Dry Dock restaurant.

Activity requirements

We have a no-shoes policy on-board, so bring a pair of socks during colder months.

Special terms

A minimum of 4 guests are required for this activity to take place. If we have not reached this number by the time of service, the trip will be cancelled.

All our trips are ocean-going, and therefore weather-dependent. The skipper alone decides whether it will be safe to sail, and will communicate their verdict with you on the day of the trip. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed.
