Are you a fan of heights and nature? You will love this Via Ferrata Espolón de la Virgen in Rodellar (Huesca) in the Aragonese Pyrenees!
The Natural Park of the Sierra and Canyons of Guara in the south of the Pyrenees, is a mountain range that welcomes every year many fans of hiking, canyoning and climbing. In particular, the Mascún ravine is one of the favourites, both for the impressive rock formations resulting from the Mascún river and for the spectacle offered by the birds of prey that fly over the ravine.
Next to the Mascún canyon is the Via Ferrata Espolón de la Virgen, a perfect activity for those who prefer heights to the narrow paths of canyoning. For this via ferrata you need to be a big fan of heights and not be afraid of vertigo, as it is a practically vertical route with a 120-metre drop. But don't worry, because despite its altitude, this is a simple via ferrata of 3.5 kilometres, lasting 2-3 hours, and the instructors at Awa Aventura will provide you with all the necessary equipment (helmet, dissipative rope, harness, etc.), as well as guaranteeing your safety at all times.
If you want to enjoy breathtaking views of the Mascún Ravine and its rock formations La Cuca Bellosta and the Citadel, come and do the Via Ferrata Espolón de la Virgen!
