Kayaking the Flix meander of Ebro river, near Tarragona

The kayaking excursion of the Flix in the Ebro river is a great opportunity to experience near Tarragona, the waters of the most important river in Spain.

The Flix Meander is one of the most spectacular in the Ebro river. On the highest part of the hill that surrounds the river is the well-known Flix Carlist castle (which can be visited later). Also of note are the remains of the 17th-century defensive system, visible from our canoe or kayak.

The excursion takes place in the Meander of the Ebro in Flix. It's a 5km long tour during which you will enjoy the gorgeous nature flourishing around you. You'll see different sites like the Flix Castle and an ancient battle zone.

After meeting your guide at the company's base, you’ll be taken to the starting point. Before getting into the water, the guide will give you a briefing on safety protocols and a quick introduction to the sport as well as the itinerary. You can choose single, two-seater or three-seater kayaks. Last but not least, you will get all geared up.

Feel free to bring water and snacks or a small picnic to enjoy after the activity!
