Half-Day Snowmobiling Excursion in Arctic Nature near Kiruna

Kiruna is a popular destination located in northern Sweden. Situated within the Lapland region and close to the Arctic Circle, the city features stunning natural scenery, diverse landscapes and beautiful snowy forests during the winter. Snowmobiling is the perfect activity for discovering this unique area.

The trip begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Kiruna (please specify when booking) or meeting directly at the starting point. The experienced guide will drive you to the activity base approximately 30 minutes from the city centre. From there, you will receive a safety briefing and a snowmobile driving lesson. You can either drive in pairs on a shared snowmobile, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch midway, or by yourself as a single driver.

After receiving your gear, you will set off following the guide through the snowy surroundings. Enjoy the ride in this beautiful corner of Lapland, which will take you along the lake and through wintry valleys basking in the golden light of the Arctic sun. This area is transformed into a winter wonderland during these months, with snow-laden trees and frozen lakes.

Along the way, you will take a break to enjoy a hot cup of tea, coffee or lingonberry juice accompanied by some sweet pastries - a traditional Swedish tea-time, or Fika. If you're lucky, you'll even get a glimpse of some Arctic wildlife while out in nature, including moose, reindeer, and an array of bird species native to this beautiful spot. After your excursion, you will be transferred back to your pick-up point in Kiruna.
