You can go alone or in pairs for a 5 days training in icefall climbing! This course is best suited to people who have already practiced ice climbing and more particularly icefalls. You will need the technique and stamina for that course full of emotion and wonder.
Jody will do everything he can to help you progress and most of all, to take you to the most beautiful and remote corners of the mountains. Follow him on the path to the impressive routes of Kandersteg. Of course, you will have a chance to make the best of your visit to Switzerland and become familiar with the local cheese and fondue... Approach: climb the sledge run for about 20 minutes. Take the bridge up to the icefall.
The icefall has beautiful lengths between 80 ° and 90 ° steep, exposed but the equipment on site really helps to go through the steep passages. You will climb a cigar before a final 70° length.

Practical information
You will meet your guide on the first day at 9am to start the 5-day course.
On the first day you warm-up and begin with easy exercises to review the basics and get a reminder on safety rules before moving on to roping.
Every day, depending on your progress, the difficulty of the routes will increase to help you go always further up to the point when you can climb a massice icefall and climb in the lead if you feel like it.
All participants must be familiar with ice climbing and know the basics of icefall climbing techniques.
An additional cost of €250-€300 per person will be paid on site for the accommodation in a comfortable cottage (4 beds rooms).
