Canyoning is for you if you like the idea of jumping, swimming, walking and even abseiling down a gorge and river. This is a unique activity that sees you work with highly trained guides to descend through a steep gorge or canyon.
The Keltneyburn Canyon offers a great introduction to canyoning, contained in a steep wooded gorge and adjacent to gently-sloping meadowland. This stunning canyon involves exciting cliff jumps, water slides and river swimming!
This popular activity gets great feedback and is a fabulous challenge for individuals, groups and families (children must be aged at least 12 years).
Splash's half day canyoning trips include lots of jumps, slides down natural rock chutes and swimming though white water pools, every day from mid-March till the end of October (depending on temperatures).

Practical information
This activity runs 7 days a week at 9.30am and 1.00pm.
- All necessary canyoning gear
- Professional and experienced guide
- Return transport to the canyon (from the activity base)
- Old pair of shoes to wear (these will get wet)
- Swimwear to wear underneath your wetsuit
- Optional: a non cotton t-shirt (synthetic materials are best ) for under your wetsuit
- Depending on the time of the year, warm clothing for before and after your trip
