Challenge yourself with this climbing and via ferrata excursion to the top of Mount Triglav in only one day!
- Hiking distance : 20 km (12,4 mi).
- Altitude difference : 1950 m (6397 feet).
- Duration: 12-15 hours.
- Climbing mt. Triglav is not technical and it is intermediate level climb.
- Meet your guide at the meeting point in Bled (this will be very early in the morning, usually between 2-5 am, based on weather).
- Drive from Bled to the Krma valley (45 minutes).
- Hike towards the Kredarica hut (5 to 7 hours).
- Continue to the hut called Triglavski dom, where you can have a short pause and a snack. Here, you will put on your via ferrata equipment and undergo a safety briefing.
- After about 2 hours of via ferrata you will reach the summit of Mount Triglav and enjoy the view.
- Then, you'll start your 6-8-hour long descent back to the Krma valley.
- Transport back to Bled (45 minutes).
You don’t need to be a good climber to participate, but you need to be able to walk for 12-14 h up and downhill in one day to take part in this excursion.
A minimum of 3 participants is required to start the excursion.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and parental authorization is required.
This climb is very demanding, so it is recommended that you are physically fit enough to be able to walk approximately 12-14 hours in a row and have some previous mountaineering experiences.
This activity is not recommended for people with heart and/or breathing issues or pregnant women.
Triglav is suitable for 8 years old kids if they are able to walk for 7 hours straight.
