Practical information

Course of events

- Meeting with the team at the car park reserved for diving and snorkelling providers in Silfra (park at P5, the nearest car park, then walk to the meeting point)

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Distribution of drysuits and equipment, then fitting out in the team van specially arranged for you to change comfortably

- Launch for the exploration dive in the Silfra fault for 30 to 40 minutes (maximum depth 18 metres)

- De-equipping, return of equipment and end of activity

Activity requirements

minimum Open Water Diver level of scuba diving is required to partake in the activity, as well as a drysuit certification or 10 drysuit dives, at least 1 of which took place within the last 2 years.

Minimum weight: 99 lbs (45 kg) / Maximum weight: 264 lbs (120 kg)

Minimum height: 150 cm / Maximum height: 200 cm

Pregnant people cannot participate in this activity.
