Activity
Meet your guide at the activity base in Pyhäntie for this half-day canoeing tour in Pyhä-Luosto National Park. A relaxing day out for all ages and abilities, enjoy a casual paddle on either the lake or river - exploring some of Finland's most biodiverse waterways. Starting with a short safety briefing and kit breakdown, practise you paddle technique with your guide - learning some basic strokes before you set off. From here, you will spend the next four hours enjoying the scenery and natural setting of Finland's oldest national park - spotting local wildlife and learning more about the area's cultural significance, too. During your tour, you'll also get to stop and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks on the bank of the river enjoying the wild backdrop and peaceful setting.
Conditions
Suitable for total beginners and anyone new to canoeing, this tour operates from June-October on a grade I-II section of the Pyhäjoki - expect fast moving water and some small riffles. Maximum two adults per canoe.
