Practical information
- Meeting with your instructor for a coffee (at the meeting point agreed with him beforehand) once you have rented your splitboard equipment (possibility of renting at a preferential rate from the La Grave Snowlegend freeride shop)
- Check of your safety and skiing equipment, then fit out: Rossignol helmets, Dva-Element Barryvox, shovel, light probe and harness (possibility of renting a Mammut avalanche airbag for €25/day - to be booked if required once your booking has been confirmed)
- Depart for a full day of splitboarding in Serre Chevalier, with time for a lunch break (not included - please bring a picnic or lunch in a refuge)
- At the end of the day, you can enjoy a relaxing moment with the guides and instructors in the local area: they will offer you a Chartreuse aperitif while your gear dries in the heated room with the boot dryer
A good level of skiing (comfortable on red and/or black slopes) is required to take part in this activity.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
La Grave Snowlegend freeride shop, located opposite the La Meije glacier cable car, is committed to renting you equipment in perfect condition, offering you a top-of-the-range selection adapted to the magical slopes of La Meije and its snow conditions.
You will find a wide choice of freeride skis, touring skis, snowboards, splitboards and avalanche safety packs. The skiman pays particular attention to the preparation of the edges, base and wax according to the temperature and quality of the snow. Shoes and helmets are dried and sanitised after each return from rental. Avalanche airbags and avalanche transceivers are checked before each outing.
