Practical information
On this Open Water Diver course in Ios, you will become a certified scuba diver. The course takes place over 3 days, including theory and practical shore dives from Mylopotas Beach.
The course will take place over 3 days. The exact itinerary for each day will be arranged directly with the instructor.
- Arrive at the dive centre at Mylopotas Beach in Ios
- Meet your certified instructor
- Receive the scuba diving equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regulator, tank, and weights)
- Safety and theory lesson
- Practice breathing underwater in shallow water
- Shore dives (maximum depth 18 m / 60 ft)
- Return to the dive centre at Mylopotas Beach
- Receive your Open Water Diver certificate
Basic swimming skills are required for this activity.
Please be advised that this activity is not recommended for those with health concerns.
Please note that flying is not allowed at least 12 hours after your last dive.
