Practical information
5 half-day course (mornings from Monday to Friday) following the teaching programme recommended by the FFVL (French Federation of Free Flight)
- Welcome at the Air Zone Parapente base in Millau for the first day and issuing of FFVL licences.
- The first 3 sessions are spent on the ground: discovering the equipment, learning how to inflate the paraglider and fly it on the ground on a training slope to prepare for take-off, with the necessary theoretical input before the flight (weather, flight mechanics, regulations, piloting, etc.).
- If the pre-requisites are validated by the instructor after these 3 sessions, you will be able to embark on the big flight accompanied by an instructor on the radio at take-off and another at landing (you will be able to make between 1 and 5 flights depending on your level and the weather).
A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.
You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire before the start of the course: please contact the instructor once the booking has been confirmed.
You need a FFVL licence to take part: expect to pay between 32€ and 56€ for a licence, which you can buy on the first day of the course.
This activity is extremely weather-dependent. If the weather does not allow for the activity to take place, we will contact you to reschedule or receive a full refund.
People with a physical disability are welcome on request (please inform us in advance).
