Practical information
On this buggy tour, you will drive on amazing landscapes through lava fields to the geothermal power plant which heats up the whole of Reykjavik city, on the way on clear days you can see steam going 1000 meters up in the air. Sometimes just like out of a James Bond movie! Later on the tour, we will drive close up to some of the geothermal hot springs near the Geothermal Power plant where you can take photos in the steam, but be careful we cannot dip into these hot springs!
- Arrive at the meeting point and meet your guide
- Loan of equipment and departure for a 2-hour buggy ride
- Passage through the geothermal power station, Blue Mountain, Hengill and the lava fields
- Return to the starting point and end of the activity
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
All drivers must have their driving license.
Tracks are dependent on weather and trail conditions.
All hotels downtown are in a no-pick-up zone by the city. Therefore you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop. You can check www.busstop.is for available bus stops.
