Practical information
These courses are for people who just want to test and discover kitesurfing. You will learn the main techniques of the sport, but unless you are really talented, do not expect to become a champion after one session!
The group lessons (2 people) last approximately 2 hours.
At the end of the session you will:
- know all about kitesurfing equipments and how to set your kite up
- know all safety procedures
- know how to maneuver your kite (first with 2 lines and after, with 5)
- be able to make your kite takeoff both from ground and water
- experience sidewind and tailwind body dragging
- try your very first water-start
You must be in good physical condition and be able to swim at least 25 meters independently.
It is imperative NOT to be under the influence of alcohol when practicing kitesurfing and, it is preferable to have had a good night’s sleep.
Meeting time may change depending on wind conditions and needs to be confirmed with Sainte Anne Kite a day or two prior to the lesson.
The school is closed in September and October.
Kitesurf liability insurance or FFV license must be taken out online before the start of the course.
