The adventure spans seven hours, commencing with a meeting in Isafjordur at 09:00. Your guide will furnish essential information and gear while helping you pack your backpacks with lunch and equipment. A one-hour hike awaits, culminating at the alpine lake. Here, the guide sets up the towing gear for wakeboarding, where you'll ride in teams of two. The guide imparts a shore lesson, offering instructions and assistance in the water. For those not wakeboarding, there's the option to hike or snorkel around the lake.
Wildlife: The hike presents opportunities to encounter various bird species, including rock ptarmigan, common snipe, whooper swan, and more.
- Participants should be capable of hiking 2-3 km with a 15-20 kg backpack, know how to swim, and be comfortable in the water. The wetsuit ensures buoyancy during wakeboarding.
- Previous wakeboarding, snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding experience, and general fitness increase the chance of success on the first trip.
- Leave space for a wetsuit, mask, and snorkel in your backpack.
